| Detailed Description | Language Interface Packs are the next step in the evolution of the localized operating system. They use the same technology that is used in the Multilingual User Interface Pack and will allow customers to install one particular language interface on an English installation of Windows XP Professional, which when applied will provide a partially localized user interface for that particular language. The localization effort for Language Interface Packs has been focused on the most popular elements and components of the Windows user interface, including areas of Help and Support Center. Some of the less commonly used elements of the operating system remain in English. The Service Pack 2 (SP2) is all about security, and it's one of the most important service packs ever released. It provides better protection against viruses, hackers, and worms, and includes Windows Firewall, Pop-up Blocker for Internet Explorer, and the new Windows Security Center. |
